Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

$399 for a power supply? Really? Sounds like a lot.

Ahh, but it's not just any power supply.

Syn must be blocking something bad... maybe bad power? But Schiit would never do just a simple AC filter. I'm guessing full AC regen, a la an affordable Power Plant made for headphone Schiit stacks. i.e. it SYNthesizes new AC power.

Friday is April 1, also known as April Fools Day. What if Syn is really an April Fools Day creation to distract all of us from the potential release of another, or perhaps no new product?
Perhaps we need to start thinking far, far outside the box.
Perhaps that is why he is announcing it Thursday, so we know that it is real.

Actually Saturday is April 1, at least here in the US. My calendar says March 31 is Friday.

Most likely Jason is working busy on the steel top, paint it, waiting for the paint to dry before he can put the screws on ...... and some final touches ...

I must not be understanding then. Are we talking about something that's like a fancy power conditioner? I don't understand the need, nor would I be interested in it at that price. Yes it would be nice to not have 3 if not 4 wall warts for all of my Schiit, but they had a solution to that some time ago that worked as far as I know and was inexpensive.

Hm.... US voltage and Europe voltage version ... it could be a nightmare for Schiit ...... besides, how about those DAC/Amp which takes the line voltage supply .....?

AC regen for $399 seems unlikely-to-be-a-real-thing to me, even for Schiit.

But I want one. My Mjolnir 1 seems unhappy with my apparently dirty 230 V, I have a giant old isolation transformer that helps quite a bit. But that thing hums, you can feel the vibration on the case of it, I should probably line the case with sorbothane or something. I wonder what full regen would do, for both that and for my other hifi stuff, maybe especially the Piety.
