Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Y'know, when someone says we should stay on topic, exactly what topic would that be?

BTW, a recent TAS had a 300B amp review and a brief description of the Western Electric 300B factory in Georgia. Very cool despite my terror of non-solid state devices!

It has arrived!

Freya S (damn I need to get organized and clean)
Now do I order some Vidars or wait for Tyr?
Got a couple Parasound 2125 v.2 that I need to sell to fund the Vidar or Tyr purchase

Question for Freya S or Freya + owners:

Looking at the LEDs to the left of the volume control, the left one lits when mute is engaged. The middle one lits when x1 gain buffer stage is on. Does that middle LED also lit up when the x4 gain stage is on? Along with the right LED?

It'd be cool if one of those announcements would be for a higher-end phono stage. Might stop me from pulling the trigger on a Hegel v10.

Trying to keep it on topic :L3000:, a pair of Soviet 6N23P Reflector Double Triode tubes I ordered off Ebay for the cathode follower output stage (left-side tubes) of my Freya N arrived yesterday. They were very inexpensive and were ones from the list that @Paladin79 recommended. .

Can you be a bit more specific about which tubes these are?

Ok I get it.
All good, ignore the swift pile-on. I tilted at the same windmill last year and gave up and joined in.

Will say, the reason it did perturb me some is that for several of the schiit products, there are no threads, and this really does appear to be the only active thread to read about and/ or ask questions.

Happy listening 🎶

Yes, the middle and right LED do light up when in 4x mode on my Freya S. I don’t know if Freya+ works the same way.

Are there any possibilities of something like a unison eitr or similar USB decrapifyer for those of us with older schiit we may not want to let go of like an og Modi multibit?
How's your cd collection? 😉 Because it's sounding like the urd may be the only such device. BTW I got really good results with a jitterbug on the OG MM.

Well said, I am on several threads but this one generally has many more folks here on any given day because we have fun and usually treat each other in a respectful manner. I do draw the line at being nice to @bcowen but he is the exception.
He told me he was exceptional.....
