Please, take into account our years-lasting question: is there anything improving on the HD 800/800S in the plans of Sennheiser for the foreseeable future? We know makers must not show their cards, but this question is already too old...

If this is a sign of an HD800 Pro (or whatever they wanna call it) then sign me up and I'll eat all my negativity in this thread! Love the fact they went with Mini XLR's, steel headband, etc... if it's just an HD600/650 with better build quality that's pretty dope

Pretty sure we're in the Consumer Division thread and this 490 Pro is from the... pro side? The original Sennheiser side.
Apparently it measures/sound like an HD 650.
