Hello Head-Fi,

The Consumer Electronics Show ("CES") is nearly upon us, and we have a few technology-leaning announcements to make. We know most of you will not be able to attend CES, so we'll be livestreaming the our media event on January 8th at 12:30pm Pacific Time, live from Las Vegas.

You can click on the link below to join the fun on the 8th. Don't forget to subscribe and enable notifs, as we won't post the debuts here on the sponsored forums until we get back from CES:

Fingers crossed for a new full sized headphone. Perhaps an HD800S successor?

Sennheiser will announce that they will finally stop subsidizing the U.S. market (low prices, frequent sales, marketing events) on the back of EU consumers (pretty much zero sales, higher prices in EU for EU-manufactured products).

It is probably going to be the closed back 600 series headphone they have been polling for recently and totally doesn't exist ;P

Even if it doesn't get announced at CES it will be soonish.

One of the announcements *might* be a more affordable open back, somewhat based around the HD6-- series in a lower price tier series. Probably with a focus on studio work, recording engineers etc...but thats all guess work on my parts I know about nothing of the sort :)

Personally I'd love to see an HD900, or a 580v Bias take on the HE1 but I have no idea if one of the other announcements will be anything like that (doubt.jpeg.)
