I am/was hoping that the stock x10 firmware will be free of the issues that make rockbox essential for the x3. I will not buy the x10 if it needs to be rockboxed. Meanwhile I hope my X3 lasts forever.

Good luck.  Mine didn't last much more than a few months.  Warranty is non existent.  Here is the latest response from Tomtop regarding a return/warranty on my dead X3.  100USD is approximately 135AUS.  I paid a little over 100USD for the X3.

Hi customer, Good day! How about refunding you 35AUD without returning it back? Considering it takes time, and shipping cost is expensive Regards Lisa

That's an unacceptable response, my money will be spent on other brands from now. The two X3 I have probably dying by easter.

If they haven't built in enough profit to cover returns how is that the consumers fault?

It's weird that a lot of units are dead in a few months,my friend's x3 is almost a year old now, anyway my x3 has a prob; buttons are acting on their own, the up and down buttons sometimes becomes the select button, good thing the seller agreed to get it replaced.

Xduoo has been just as bad.  I asked them how long their warranty is and the response was "permanent warranty".  When I asked how to organize a warranty repair/return they never responded.

I guess permanent warranty means you have to wait an eternity before you can return it. I was excited about the X10 but now I'm reluctant to support a company that behaves like this.

FYI, Amazon has 200gb micro sd cards from Sandisk for $49.99.

Well hello everyone.
Im afraid I could do with someones help if at all possible.I recieved my X3 from Gearbest last Tuesday.I successfully rockboxed my x3 and all was well.Until my left headhone stopped working. When I pull the headphones out of the socket slightly the left one works but then the right one doesnt.Gutted.I believe it could be a dry solder or a faulty jack.I obviously have the option to send it all the way back to China and then wait for the replacement. All in all I am not gonna get this sorted out this side of the new year.
Now is there anyone on here who could repair this for me in the UK.I will obviously pay for all postage and will pay for the X3 to be repaired.
I will forever be grateful if someone could help me out please..I live in Cheshire and would be able to drive within reason to a shop or anyone who is close.
Not the best first ever post on here.So thanks in adavance
Adrian.
