With IEMs my Hm801 w/ rockbox gives a little whitenoise as  long as the backlight is active.
The player's processor runs rockbox so fast. It makes me tear with joy. ;-;

The noise should be fixed in the newer versions. Mortalis is aware of the problem.

Wow album covers; we have a reason for that colored screen! xD

Yay for Rockbox EQ options and gapless playback; I can finally run my Bboy mixtapes off my HM801 and not of f my Ipod due to interruptions.

Oh and I can finally dim the backlight.

I wish that Fang , will cooperate with the developer of Rockbox on the HE-60x, as it will lead for a faster development, and happier Headfiers/customers, what you think?

Very interesting indeed. I'll definitely have to try this on my 601. I'd assume with more EQ options available these players are now very dangerous (Cowon killers).

BE VERY CAREFUL, its still in alpha stage, but if you got the heart , why not.
Cowon is dead for me , although I used to enjoy my J3, but now the HE-60x/801  combined with Rockbox will make a real/killer and serious DAP.
I want Hifiman to know that, and believe me I am trying my best to convey this to them.

The DAC isn't working for me, getting a buzzing with washed-out digital sound. My windows PC is detecting the device though. But but beyond that; it not functional.
