Unlikely. Class 4 max.
It's working for my HM-601. I think it should work for 801 too.
- Run RK27Upgrade_Image (http://www.forum.mycroft.su/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=1906) with administrator rights.
- Turn on player and connect it via USB
- In rockbox menu go to: System -> Debug(don't touch!) -> View HW info.
- Install drivers from archive http://www.forum.mycroft.su/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=1906.
- In RK27Upgrade_Image programm, click to "..." button opposite "Image??" and choose firmware
- Click "?? (U)" and wait.
I have stucked with step 4..how to install the driver? I am using intel win7. thanks
For some reason, this method does not work for Win7 x64 systems. It will report the driver as being not x64 compatible. Anyone else tried and have the same problem as me?
With IEMs my Hm801 w/ rockbox gives a little whitenoise as long as the backlight is active.
The player's processor runs rockbox so fast. It makes me tear with joy. ;-;
Very interesting in-deed. I'll definitely have to try this on my 601. I'd assume with more EQ options available these players are now very dangerous (Cowon killers).
Is this going to support the dac part of the players and hires flac (not downsampled like on iRiver and iPod) ?
The DAC isn't working for me, getting a buzzing with washed-out digital sound. My windows PC is detecting the device though.
