  when I got them there was no wow factor to me either but when I compared it to the headphones around them they beat them.

agree,, I don't think it has the "wow" factor that many people are looking for. but first time listened to these baby i definitely felt that PH produced refined and expensive sound. I usually describe the sound as an "expensive" sound. i really believe this headphone should cost $1.000 at least.

Got my Beyer pads in and they are waaaaay better than the cotton mod and my memory foam mod to the pads lol..
This is out of the package too.
I'll probably add some cotton in the back of the pads since my ears are touching the driver just a teeny bit.

So, I was using the Fiio E9/E10 DAC/amp combo on with my iMac and the Hope VI. That was a decent combination, but today I received my Schiit Modi DAC and tube hybrid Vali amplifier, and Oh Schiit! This brings out ever minute detail that I didn't even think the Hope VI was hiding! What a fantastic desk DAC and Amp for the Pandora Hope VI. Try it fellas!!

Trust they will sound amazing depending on what model you have. I know on mine they sound great just from the iMac hp out.

I've always had some type of DAC/Amp connected to my iMac. But this Mac is about to be replaced in a couple of day with a brand new one (this one is like five years old). So I'll try it with my new Mac.

This amp and DAC really tightens up the Hope VI's bass. Amazing!
