REVIEW: Vivo Xplay 3S + XE800 Mobile audio perfection

Thank for the good answer. I take it as it is a very big difference then? I maybe should buy them then...

I haven't heard the XE800, but I have the GR07, which they're based on, and in comparison to the Pistons you'll get less bass, but infinitely tighter and more articulate bass, bigger soundstage, much better clarity, separation, imaging, etc. The only place the Pistons would be an advantage is if you need a lot of bass boom in your music, but other than that the XE800 should be a few tiers higher in every area.

Yes there's an significant difference in sound quality between the two. If you can get the XE800 for around $60 shipped it's a ridiculous good value. If you're considering paying $100 for them they're still worth it but you might want to consider GR07 for $80 from lmue as an alternative.....

Yeah, if you're paying more than $80, I'd just jump on LMUE's sale that's this weekend only.

Haha you're a natural at this. Thanks. I guess the cheapest way to buy them would be via Taobao and a forwarding service?

Yes it is but be aware of fakes. I'm pretty sure that everyone here that got them from Taobao used the same seller. I'm on my phone now so can't link but it's several places in this thread. I paid about $60 including everything for my pair.

Buy gr07 for 78 from lmue,,,the cable and build seems much better than xe800.
But if i have to buy xe800,i would pay 99 to penon instead of taking risk at taobao, not to mention super slow shipping.

GR07 = better cable no Mic
XE800 = thinner cable with mic and for me slightly more comfortable.

I will look it up in this thread then. Which service is the best? Yoybuy? Mistertao? Engtaobao?
Thank you

I use mistertao but others might be just as good. I've just never got any reason to change, I'll guess that's a good sign

At the moment GR07 seems to be good deal, you get good cable, lot of accessory and warranty.
XE800 authentic with forwarding will cost same.

The cable on gr07 is probably the best put on any sub 200 iem,,maybe even 300.

It will cost $20 less if it's available from the trusted seller. Not saying that the gr07 isn't worth $20 more just want to make clear that they're still cheaper.

A comparison between GR07CE and XE800 would certainly be welcome.

Well, if any of you want to loan me your pair for a couple days, I'd be happy to.

I actually wouldn't mind that. Shipping cost and time unfortunately makes it unrealistic though :frowning2:
