Interesting….in the meantime đŸ™‚ ….B319AAC8-D764-4B86-AA89-CE274DD28D2A.jpeg
Hello Jonathan, regarding the V200. I just bought a pair of Hifiman HE6se v2' and going through a lot of sites with suggestions for properly running them. Will the V200 be done for the HE6se v2? I just bought a monolith monoprice thx, etc etc, and I'm not too impressed with it. Or?.... My budget is about 400-500 or less of course. Selling all my closed back headphones to experience this open back fun. Thanks for your valued input.
Cheers

• The Hifiman HE6SE v2 is one of the most demanding headphones to drive. A few data: 83.5 dB/mw and 50 ohms impedance. This equates to 93.5 dB/V (which takes into account sensitivity and impedance). The median for this metric, over a wide range of headphone models & types is 106.5 dB/V - very noticeably higher.
• The maximum power output of Violectric HPA V200 is stated to be 2700 mw (or 11.6V) into 50 ohms. This mw output reaches its greatest into the 50 ohms resistance. Between that and the ‘pre-gain’ DIP switches in the rear of V200, you should have no real issues with driving HE6SE v2 to reasonable volumes and then some.

Thanks Jonathan, I appreciate that. is there formula for calculating this info with other amps? ie: Lake People G111,108..?
Cheers

The formula that I was using pertains to headphones. The power figures that I cited are from the Violectric V200 owner’s manual.

... the color of the front panel, sorry, now it's more clear.
The cases had always been Nextel coated, except the FE edition (final edition) with a black anodized front and case, denoted "FE" in the serial number.

I understand. I was confused because I've seen at the beginning of this thread black front panels not mentioned as "B" on the S/N section on the back.
