  Can someone suggest me a direct upgrade for im02? I'm thinking about savant and dn2000j.

Unless the im02 are shaped differently from the im50/70 and supplied with the different tips, I'd highly recommend you avoid the whole IM series like the plague.

If you can, get the Savant. The DN2000j won't be much of an upgrade. They're in the same performance bracket. Except of course the DUNU is a hybrid, and will have much nicer bass.

The Savant is the real upgrade, though.

Thank you for the input. If I'm not mistaken, savant has dual drivers same as im02. Yes, I know that number of drivers doesn't mean anything when talking about sq.

I agreed with you. I tried im70 before I'm really shock how good it is, really close in performance with im02.

Hmm, that would mean that the im02 are seriously underperforming for the price.

Im02 is really great for its price. I'm intoxicated with the bass of im70 although it doesn't have the upper clarity of im02. Im70 is more like a compliment to im02. If you want to relax and have fun, choose im70. For clarity and analyzing the music, im02 is the best.

I thought savant had 5 drivers.....I might be way wrong though. It doesn't say on the noble site. At least I didn't see it anywhere when I looked

Yea, 5 is more reasonable number. Still a mystery though.

I chose the CKR-9s as they have the clarity of the im02 and the bass rumble of a subwoofer but at a slightly higher and no detachable cable.

I'm in deep! I need opinions here. IM04: Ive read the 3 reviews on the product page here, but I'm finding little in the way of impressions, besides the OP here. Can anyone give e me a few impressions of it again?

I'm trying to decide between the 04 and the noble savant or the asg 1 plus. Any and all opinions and impressions welcome.

The Savant is said to be a brilliantly detailed, bright, super sharp sound.

The IM04 is sort of the exact opposite of that. It's smooth, warm, even dark, and quite bass-y. I wouldn't say it lacks details, but it can seem that way, with just how much warmth there is in the signature.

Do you know how the flc8s compare to im03?

Not yet. I'll be testing the FLC8s in the not too distant future, but right now I can't say how it compares.

Out of the 3, the savant is probably the one with the least bass. The asg 1plus has a good balance and sounds the most natural amongst the given choice
