Helo guys,

I recently bought im02 and i'm really happy with my purchase. I pair it with a17 and i can detect a small hiss. Does a17 bring out the full sq of im02? I'm planning on getting dx80 or hm650. Does this investment really worth it on my current setup?

Personally I would not upgrade my player until I have at least $300+ IEMs as upgrading players only yield minor improvements.

But IF you insist on upgrading , the xduoo x3 is worth considering as rockbox port is making fast progress.

Besides the two you have mentioned, you can consider the Lotoo Paw 5000. Really liked the sound with my own IM02 (no hissing with well-recorded music is a plus) and in my opinion, it's worth it.

the AT-HDC5 cable will effect agianst im02 female vocal too,

it make female vocal sound a little brighter and reveal more detail, but I like stock cable for a warmer vocal,

So I had a hardtime decide between Wamer Vocal or more Detail.

With im02 stock L tips is a little too tight but I can hear a high pitch of female vocal sound much clearer

and more charm than M tips, maybe I shall try a tips that have size in between L and M stock tips next time.

What tips do you guys suggest for the IM50?

JVC spiral dots work pretty well with all IEMs of the IM series. KZ whirlwind tips are worth a try too.
Basically anything with wide bore will work.

Aside from playing with the tips, you can punch a small hole with a needle on the vents. Warn you that you have to do it very carefully because you have a risk to damage the drivers.

How does this effect the sound? I think I saw the post about doing this a few months ago but I never got around to trying it.
