Finally, someone decided to do a thorough review of these. Nicely written Kunlun! It doesn't surprise me at all that Futuresonics could deliver a dynamic custom to rival the higher end, multi-ba offerings out there. The MG7 Atrios I tried recently were easily better than many of the multi-ba universals I've tried. I still maintain that an excellently-designed single dynamic driver can easily sound better than 3+ ba's stacked up. You forget how important cohesiveness is until you go from multi-ba's to a good dynamic.

Is it possible to upload more photos?

I wish I can afford one of these. Maybe one day. I'm enjoying the Atrios alot right now.

Thank You Kunlun again for another great review.

@jlee, Agreed. Every last bit.

If it wasn't for Kunlun I wouldn't even have purchased these good pieces of crap.

Now I want to get the customs

^^ Well, I'd suggest something like "the subtle nuance of a human voice or a viola".   :)

I'm sure you're aware I don't mind if some people - like you - use the word "timbre". Unfortunately, I've seen "timbre" being (over)used, misused & 'abused' in the last few months. And of course you know I echo your thoughts on hype on Head-fi. Some of this hype, as you also know, comes with a fair share of jargon - "timbre" is one of those terms that has lately been 'doing the rounds' a bit too much for my liking.

Quoting from the Future Sonics website:

• 18Hz - 20,000Hz TrueTimbre™ Response
• 32ohm Impedance
• Sensitivity 112db

Thanks for a great review Kunlun... I wonder however how would they fit the 13mm driver on a custom shell for small ears like mine?
Hoping somebody can compare this to the ES5 pretty soon :P

Lmao.... Tbh i'd be satisfied with mg7 custom (mg5) confusing names.. But if this takes the mg7 farther.... Those are the same cords as Westone customs correct? Or Ue

^^  I think that instead of paying $900.00 for the MG6pro, I'd rather pay $19.99 for this type of Timbre:)

Wow!  That is a good deal.  It's even compatible w/ the iPhone!  No brainer.  I'm confused though.  If I play crap through them does it make it sound better by resonating 'with fabulous sound'?  If so I'd pay $900 for them.

Oh, I don't think they'll have a problem. Miley Cyrus uses them. You can email David Gray, their very nice director of operations grayd@futuresonics.com and he'll answer any concerns you might have.

They actually retune the driver a bit for the 10mm custom, so I bet it would be an interesting thing to hear.
Yeah, same cables as stock Westone and JHA.
