It could also be any jack adapters used in the chain? Suspect even a poorly made terminated cable contributes to the buzz and noise.

When i used a 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female sonic gear adapter, the buzz and hiss on my ALO rxMK3-B was ridiculous.
Once removed, the hiss came down to a very slight one.

After that episode, can no longer think "an adapter is just an adapter" anymore. It does matter big time.

I tried with just the amp turned on and the 1P2 plugged in.

I'd open it up to check for problems, but I won't since it's not mine.

Eke, FYI, i put T1 volume to max while keeping RWAK paused and running (did it right now after seeing your finding)... in my case i hear no hiss or noise even at max, no sign of it. if you do not trust me you can ask James444 who i can meet and demonstrate this to him. i repeat it, dead silent in my case even with T1 volume maxed and RWAK on pause.

I have a T1 with me right now on loan but no sign of any problem mentioned. If you're sure it's not the cable, jacks, volume or power switch glitching out money's on the amp being faulty.

I know, I don't believe the maker of the 1P2 would knowingly put out a faulty product.

I think there's an issue with this particular set. I'm not quite sure what happened. I'm going to let the battery discharge completely before charging again.

I isolated the problem to the HPO jack. I managed to create/stop the noise my wiggling the jack in different directions. There might be solder problems in that specific point, like when I got my clip+.

It's a long shot, but you can try blowing air In there, or using a Q-tip sticking it carefully to wipe the contacts. Most likely a solder job though.

Eke, crap happens, no gear is immune, i remember sending my Naim CDP and wait for two months because servo mechanism developed problem. Luckily i got the replacement for the better one at no cost. Naim stands by its products and i am sure Tralucent would stand by their products too since i know Gavin is dedicated audiophile and would be as unhappy to hear about any problem as the owner himself. so makes sense to tell the owner to send this back to Tralucent then?

Yeah no worries, I've already chatted with Gavin about it.

I wouldn't blow air inside. It would introduce moisture onto the contact surface.
