This most definitely sound like it's done on purpose if it's present on both the cables that come with the frosted and stealth. It's indeed there on my cable. I'd like to hear the rationale behind this decision actually.

Do you hear any significant difference in the sound when swapping out cables?

This could make many cable comparisons here with the stock ASG-2 cables useless...

 

   

Yes, I have also tried on the AK120 using the same track.. same issue.. crosstalk on the ASG-2 with stock cable.. no crosstalk on other IEMs including the 1plus2 and SE535.

 
 
Very interesting indeed...but it seems like such an ordinary cable. I'd test it myself, but I just shipped out my ASG-2 for a loaner.

I was just trying out a cable from a shop, just focusing on the crosstalk issue, so did not do any critical listening.  But my thought is that for those tracks recorded using 2-mike or Binaural method, this additional crossfeed may mess up the imaging.
 
Good to hear from those who have both stock and 3rd party cable on hand if this is the case.
 
And yes, it will be interesting to undestand the rationale.

Wonder if there's crosstalk on that cable. I just confirmed that there is no crosstalk on the Fiio cable. However there is on the cable that came with FA-4E..

That'll come out to cheaper than people paid for the original intro ASG-1 price plus upgrade price, which is a pretty great discount if you ask me.
