Oh that is good to hear :)
I was not just a bit sad when I saw the $700 price tag.
Too bad I won't get the DigiZoid amp if I order from Aurisonics directly
/sarcasm

I really need someone to compare the ASG-2 to either the SM64, 4.Ai or EX1000.

I think there is a 4.ai comparison somewhere, or that might only be the ASG-1....

cn11, I pretty much think your initial impressions are spot-on to what I heard.

Edit: If the ASG-2 had more treble than the 334, then that would be very dark earphone to me.

I would offer the same suggestion for the TG334, and have done so with both earphones... the Ortofon tips on the 334 significantly open up the treble. I also find the Ortofon tips to be the best (to my ears) for the ASG-2. With both performing at their best due to the Ortofon tips, the treble comparison is exactly as I described it. Sorry if you disagree, but that is my finding.

Of course, no need to have to defend what you hear. I really appreciate your perspective.

Come on world... can I get a break. I'm sure your foot is tired after all that kicking. You just teased me with the last one, given the outcome.

They are the small ones. I would know because they are mine. I am gifting them to eke via cn11

Ortofon US needs to get those back in stock already. They are probably the most hyped* thing on Head-Fi right now.

*Not in a bad way.

Can I buy them somewhere without it costing me $30?

I could gift you the gift that SF gifted me, if he doesn't mind. I already have a literal box-ful of assorted tips, so I could go without the ortofons for a while.

And they deserve it. That material works wonders for comfort. I didn't really observe a significant sound difference from tips with equal bore sizes, but it has no comfort equal.

Unity, beware, climbing all they way you may not be happy, but i always recommend if you love the sound then keep your setup and upgrade only if you choose to add second and third rig. from my experience H200 is a Gem, so i am rather intersted in ASG2 for V3 Studio which i may be buying now, they will not replace my H200 :-)

I enjoyed the H200's sound. Driver flex and comfort were too much trouble however, latter more so then the former.

It's a shame when that happens.

I wasn't letting anything go for $270.

It seems I am never going to get a response. Three messages and still nothing. Sucks for me I guess. I was going to inquire about the possibility of a refund.

I have no idea what this means and is in reference to lol.

Even if they were very close, I would pay the difference for no driver flex and great fit. Plus, Andy has been one of the best people I've messaged about a product. Most other are vague with details, stale in tone, and short in word count. Then we have the guys that don't respond to your emails after the sale... * cough

I'm referring to the fact I've been messaging Sunggoo after I received my H200's. Maybe he is searching for the answer to my question? I don't know what's up but I'm quite sad about it. I'm yet to get any type of response. His replys were quick before the sale. Was now going to ask him about the possibility of a refund.

sorry to hear about this, yes i hear now from a few people that fit can be trouble with H200, not sure what you mean by driver flex?

yes, asg2 must be good and also cost twice more too. hope you rid of H200 with minimal loss and wait for your impressions about asg :-)

I found my GR07 MKII and the 4.Ai technically even, and the ASG-1.2 head and shoulders above both (with treble eq applied). Since the ASG-2 is head and shoulders above the ASG-1, then I deduce that the ASG-2 is chest and torso above the 4.Ai.

Holy heck! I hadn't any idea the ASG-2s were that good. Now i'm even more excited.

I thought the 4.Ai were top-tier, with the se534, sm64, W3, W4 ect. Are the ASG-2 really that large a notch above those?

I guess it makes sense considering they are being compared to $1k+ headphones - although price doesn't always indicate performance.
