Custom is $800 yeah. You can also trade in your old ASG-1 and upgrade to the G-2 for $300

They didn't tell me. I'm waiting for my H200's to sell before I order. Yeah, straight up purchase.

Gotcha. Someone recently said 2 weeks is what they heard and I hope that's accurate. I lack certain virtues =/

Not as smitten with the H200 as everyone else? Just curious.

The custom version, AS-2, is $700. ASG-2 is $550

So Musica Acustics likes to have a BIG profit margin?

They are 700$ not 550$  :'(

Guys, the frosted ASG-2 with bass port costs $550. The CUSTOM version costs $799.

Musica Acoustics' ASG-2 price is 25% higher than MSRP

Guys try out as many tips as possible. The treble changes very much depending on the angle of the drivers. I'm very surprised that anyone would find the 334 to have more treble.

x2.

When you say the CUSTOM version, you mean AS-2 right? The website list them at $799. Is that price with added aesthetic options and 700 is frosted version? The options are all on "standard" in the bottom and price shown is $799... It says frosted.

Lol, nvm. u Fixed it wile I was editing.

So the thing Musica Acustics is selling, is the custom version?
I might have skipped that, but this "The Asg-2 is based on flagship Custom monitors AS-2 and is now finally available as Universals." sounds like they are selling the universal version.

I believe you that the universal version is $550, but that means that either I'am to dumb to read a few lines of product describtion or MA is a bit unprecise.

It seems they are selling them for more then the Aurisonics official website.

The AS-2 starts at $799(custom)
The ASG-2 starts at $550(universal)

MA is selling the ASG-2 (generic). They are selling the frosted version for $650, and the Stealth for $800. Each is $150 more than MSRP. You can buy them for $550 and $650 from Aurisonics and other dealers.

They probably have high fixed costs. Not everything they sell seems to be at a high markup so it's hard to gauge.

I enjoyed the H200's sound. Driver flex and comfort were too much trouble however, latter more so then the former.

I wasn't letting anything go for $270.

It seems I am never going to get a response. Three messages and still nothing. Sucks for me I guess. I was going to inquire about the possibility of a refund.

Oh that is good to hear :)
I was not just a bit sad when I saw the $700 price tag.
Too bad I won't get the DigiZoid amp if I order from Aurisonics directly
/sarcasm

I really need someone to compare the ASG-2 to either the SM64, 4.Ai or EX1000.

I found my GR07 MKII and the 4.Ai technically even, and the ASG-1.2 head and shoulders above both (with treble eq applied). Since the ASG-2 is head and shoulders above the ASG-1, then I deduce that the ASG-2 is chest and torso above the 4.Ai.

I would offer the same suggestion for the TG334, and have done so with both earphones... the Ortofon tips on the 334 significantly open up the treble. I also find the Ortofon tips to be the best (to my ears) for the ASG-2. With both performing at their best due to the Ortofon tips, the treble comparison is exactly as I described it. Sorry if you disagree, but that is my finding.
