Not disputing you at all Gin. Just pointing out that I've found people to perceive soundstage dimensions in different ways is all. And I agree with most of your points. I think the G-2 is a great all arounder, but there are phones more suited for something like classical/orchestral. The G-2 turns out an admirable performance, but yes, I'd rather listen to that sort of thing on my Flat-4 or 1P2

No problem disputing, agree about different perceptions for sure, this is pretty normal :)
But i needed to correct myself as sometimes i feel lost in terminology. For instance when i talk about stage my first requirement is that stage must be real and believable, believable in sense of layering and tonal rendition, this is more important than having big stage which can be compromised.

I hate this thread. It makes me want to spend more money. I'm terrified for if/when Gavin sends me a 1+2 to demo at my leisure, because 1300 is a lot of cash, and I have a feeling I'll fall in love with the thing.

Just do like this: save money at a decent pace that doesn't really take away much from your living standards. Then make up your mind what you want to buy and when you've saved enough, buy it. You can always sell things or... favors...

Gintaras, you should hear the AS2 sometime.   I never thought the Peos200 came close to the AS2, I didn't hear the coherency or natural sound coming from the 200 like the AS2, the Peos sounded pretty immature, LOL compared to the 7550 and AS2.   But I agree, the 1P2 is in another category altogether and deserves its price, so why compare??

That's probably his reference IEM to refer to when making comparisons. Also can't one dream of getting the same performance at half the cost? I sure would be all for that! :).

I'm pretty impressed eke. First impressions are solid, ASG-2's putting on a show. Those vocals for one.

I've only had them about an hour, I'll check in later.

Nice. I'll monitor and add your impressions as I pack my suitcases. I leave Jamaica for the States in the AM.

All these back on topic discussion on how music are experienced with the asg2 is making me really really missing my pair now, especially now that star DJ MisterG is on the shift.....

Need. Them. Back. SOON!

(well, luckily I have my 1plus2..... else this would be more painful than the initial wait)

mate, as much as i wish to agree there is one problem. H200 is entry level hybrid IEM for budget price... ASG2 is first class IEM costing nearly three times more. do you still want to run comparison?

for what is worth H200 does brilliant job for the price and i am hard pressed to name similar priced IEM that can compete with H200.

ASG2 (and perhaps AS2) is all different story, this is like swapping from VW Golf to VW Phaeton

i sincerely believe in good products (irrespective of price), also i believe in pricing sanity. use example of V1, a good IEM but with wrong price tag. and ASG2 is damn good on the money and in some aspects excels into 1K area. sonically ASG is superior no doubt, but H200 holds its own and does many things very well and for this price you will not find a better alternative unless paying twice or triple price. as simple as that.

i can live happily with both of them but something tells me i want ASG2 or even TG334
