Yes.
Great! Now I only have to figure out if it's better than my Zero DAC/Amp for powering my Denon AH-2000s and Bx5As.
Thanks.

I have something to ask... When you plug your amp into the RCA output, it's going to bypass the built-in amp of the D1, right?
Can you run the D1 as follows: Samsung HDTV Digital Optical Out - Audioengine D1 Optical Input - Headphone output?
Yes. Although my son has been going from a B1 BT DAC optical out into the D1 because the B1 DAC is a little warmer sounding, and this lets him use the D1 with his iPad mini retina. But any Optical source can work, including TV and MacBook Pro optical out. I tend to agree with him that the B1 DAC is a little bit warmer and lush sounding, but the D1 DAC is still quite good for the price.
I can't see myself ever using the Bluetooth functionality, but I'll have a look at sound comparison reviews. Per chance, do you happen to know of any other amp/DAC that supports a digital optical input for around $200?
24/96 operation in both optical and USB
- Headphone output is 2V rms max, output impedance is 10 ohms, so 32 ohm HP would run about 100mw, and 300 ohm would run about 12mw
- RCA is 2V max as well, variable
- The audio signal is dual word clocked, and all internal bus is I2S
- USB receiver is TI 1020B
- Standard warranty for all Audioengine products is 3 years.
- I'm fairly sure I read somewhere that the DAC is the AKM4396 (like Slim Devices Transporter)
are these dates match the instructions?

DAcs come and go, and the ones I recommended years ago are gone. The D1 is your best bet under $200, and the RCA output is a bit better than the very nice headphone amp, so you can feed it into a nicer amp and hear the improvement.
