The sci fi was well done, but then it turned into a bodice ripper, of all things.

"I came here expecting to be surprised by Them, but the real surprise...was Us."

gak.

Check out Solaris if you haven't seen it, and can stand an hour and a half of George Clooney. It's good!

The original Russian version is better.

Vice - 4/10

Way worse than expected.
As you may know, this one is about Dick Cheney.
The acting was decent, but I couldn't stand the style of this movie.
Whoever made this must think they were making some sort of art-film.
Not even sure what to think of that surgery scene.

About halfway through it started to get good at least.
I remember thinking to myself that I wish this was directed by Oliver Stone.
Then it would have been a lot more interesting to sit through.

Who knows if this film is accurate. I knew about most of what it told us.

PS I didn't give this a low score because of my political views etc.

Suits (Season 1) - 9/10

Best TV show i've seen since "Better Call Saul".
Never heard of this before. Tried one episode and was hooked.
Season 2 is even better.

I think all the interesting characters is what makes this so good.

BTW one reason I watched this is that it has some of the actors from "Breaking Bad" in it.

Was Vice in the same sorta mockumentary style as The Big Short?

I don't think Oliver Stone knows how to direct anymore. He forgot somewhere in the 90's after making JFK.
