What amplifier sub $120 should sound the best with these Q701? I liked the Fiios and the Magni... Would just a Soundblaster Z run them?

Mine is the exact same; it was sealed and everything. I got it for $3 cheaper though

Oh dear.. I can't decide which one I prefer: HD650 or Q701. Q701 is like an exciting loud party while HD650 is like staying at your grandma's - warm and cosy.

I remember owning the HD650s for a couple of years as my first HIFI headphone. As soon as I started to try out AKG headphones, I slowly stopped caring about the HD650s at all to the point I sold them.

What I did to solve the bump issue. It looks a lot cleaner than wrapping the whole headband with foam. It's colour green too so it goes with the green theme of the Q701s.

I just did something similar, cut packaging foam into headband shape, then velcro'd it onto the handband.  Also braided the shorter cable.

Yeah but first I put painter's tape to the area I'm going to apply the glue and the foam. So when I decide to remove the foam, I just peel off the tape and the glue marks will be on the tape itself and not the headband.
