I agree

And let's not forget Japan, here's a list of the sales in Japan in 2006 so far

1. NDS Lite:827,737
2. NDS: 767,773
3. PSP: 609,399
4. PS2: 504,215
5. GBA SP: 100,814
6. GB MICRO: 62,678
7. GAMECUBE: 43,649
8. XBOX 360: 37,287
9. GBA: 2,397

It doesnt seem expensive to me, its a blu-ray player.

I'm sure it will sell well also.

I plan on picking one up mainly for its hd capabilities, something the 360 lacks. eh well that and games, lol

The 360 doesnt feel like a system built around the idea of a current gen console, the system is rather built around xbox live.

That's exactly my thoughts. Xbox Live is amazing. Online play is the next big trend in gaming and I think microsoft will have the upperhand there. I love how fluid xbox live is.

Yeah, but a $50-100 price drop on the 360 upon PS3 launch would hurt Sony really bad. And as MS is already doing core shrinks and process tweaks, a MS price drop is much more likely than a PS3 price drop.

i dunno, playing nhl 2k6 with some 14 year old in arkansas, yelling I OWNED!@! on his mic isn't the make or break point of a console for me. Sure online gaming is great, but let's not kid ourselvse here ok.

Thats why I dont use the mic, there are alot of idiots online,
however I strongly believe online gaming is the where its at.

People went to the arcade in the past two challenge other people, ranking systems, FPS, sport games and RPGs are all heading to online only. squaresoft, blizzard, id and EA are gaming companies are doing just that.

Dreamcast had free online gaming too. So does the PSP, but then non of them are as advanced and fluid as live. Live is just much better. Its not too expnesive either, at the most its 7.99 if you just want to pay month by month.

I may be alone on this one, but I loath binding contracts and monthly payments for entertainment/recreational purposes. I wonder...., if you miss a payment, does MS send that $7.99 to collections and notify the "Big 3"; Experian, TransUnion, Equifax?
