Thanks bud, it was a nice night so I nipped out after work to my nearest bit of woodland.

Wonderfully soft yet directional light :)

Thanks, quite a bit of post processing involved to get the balance because I don't use filters. Subtle effects - but all sliders used! Also using a wide angle lens directly at the sun it seems impossible not to get flare, I had to spot remove a green blob haha.

Wow, that's really nice. The only thing is that telephone pole at the right ruins the feeling a bit...

Haha tell me about it...! It's as if the tree has bent out of shape on purpose to show it  :frowning2:

Hang about... I've just went and looked and it has mysteriously disappeared!  (ish)

I downloaded the Capture One Pro 8 trial last night. I have to say, my images have never looked better. Here's this wonky shot, reprocessed.

You have to look full sized to see how much more detail Capture One pulls from the RAW. LR looks smudged in comparison.

^^ Much better, more natural tone and yes lots more detail.  Looking good!

Just wanted to repost this photo after I've changed the processing a bit. It's one of my faves and the man in the frame is my photo buddy who I go out on trips with. He's been doing it for years and is currently armed with a D750. I've learned a lot from him and I'm trying to persuade him to get onto Flickr.
