duggeh,
I think you'd be happier with those speakers if you got them away from the corners.

I use a foam baffle in the bass port to prevent boom, differences in removing this and giving more than the 8-10 inches or so of space they have brings benefits which I dont consider essential considering that if they were further forward, theyd sound weird while I was at my desk.

I do!

People round, music needed, cant all share (not that I'd ever ****ing allow anyone near) my headphones. So put the grilles on, hide the fragiles. And pump out that Billie Jean.

Oh yeah, I also prefer a LOT of music via speakers and the advantage fo those missions, is they are really room filling with the sound. No tight little sweet spot, but lots of fun bouning energy everywhere.

Well -- here's one of my portable setups -- and one listening venue -- the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue (actually, all of midtown Manhattan is one of my favorite listening venues -- especially with my ES2s!

4G 40G iPod > PocketDock Firewire Lineout > Zu Pivot IC > "M" Hornet (well "burned" loaner from Ray) > Westone ES2 IEMs (Candy Blue)

Alison Krauss & Union Station / "Lonely Runs Both Ways" / "Restless" playing at this very moment... delicious!

(fluorescent lights and mediocre camera in this MacBook... sorry)

Is it just me Romanee, or is the cable coming out of your ipods microdock bigger than your amp?

*Duggeh reminds himself that his portable system has remained remarkably free of upgraditis since 1998*

What about the squash balls under the CD players? I'm sure you could grab one or two of those!
