I would love to own a Stax setup like that at some point.
MCM 55-1854 run as full range + some EQing for certain areas in the high range.
Similar Woofer used in Zaph's Bargain Mini's - only done in a semi-open enclosure and is the 4 ohm version that came later (better bass, smoother, easier to drive). Running off of a SI - Gen2 T-Amp. CHEAP build, purposeful, and entirely listenable. Bamboo is hard to work with and made for 10 hours of building (made from pre-fab drawers). Might upgrade drivers at some point, but for a pair of speakers for TV listening and movies its more than suited.
