skylab, where did you get that skin, or what kind of mod did you do? After seeing EFN's modded matte black iPod I've always wanted to find someone to do that for me and make it look really nice.

Yep! The looks and comments I get from co-workers that have never seen a tube amp before are priceless. Most do not even know that tube amps are still made, and think I found the amp in a garage sale or something. Then I have them put on the headphones for a listen...

Hoping to bring a few more converts into our club!

I hadn't noticed this before, but is that a Flexy Rack?

The rack is a Salamander Archetype 5.0 that I got from Audio Advisor. Link is below. The rack is great in that the shelves are fully adjustable for height. The cherry wood shelves are also very nice looking. A good value for the money.

Here's my old (ca 1965) Fisher X-100C tube amp with my old Stax SRX-MKIII setup. Very clean and clear with a lot more depth than one normally experiences with the SRX.

Is there a fluid damper on there?

No - the upgrades I went with were the Cardas rewire (with the "Blues" RCA cable) and KAB/Ortofon Concorde Pro S30 Integrated Cartridge.
