Well, I've only put on about 60,000 miles myself.

The guy that my Grandfather bought the truck from after a year he bought it, my grandfather, my father and me have been driving it the entire time.

And I'm still not entirely sure if it's about 800,000 or more, or less. We've just counted how many time's it's been flipped over. I've seen it once, my father 3, and my Gfather 3 times. It's somewhere at 95,000 at the moment, so soon.

Great story! I am the 2nd owner of my Beetle and I have driven it for 86,000 miles of the 400,000. The funny thing is that my 86,000 miles have been logged after a full restoration that set my wallet back ... a LOT of $$$. But it has been fun driving it!

I always thought of beetles to be one of those working projects. You used it as you restored it.

My truck is just constantly falling to pieces. Not because I can't really fix it, but everytime I use it, something breaks because of age. I usually don't use it at all, I bike everywhere.

But, I can still go outside in 3 degree weather and hit the key to have it start. Everytime.

Why is it optional?

Well, that comes from me who keeps up with cars on a single speed.

How small does it fold? Is it for commuting?
