Just yesterday I bought a pair of secondhand Wharfedale Diamond 9.1's ($100), a secondhand pair of Audio Pro Focus SA-2's ($50, for the bedroom, hooked to a Tripath), a secondhand NAD 3020e ($65) and a modified, secondhand Maverick Tubemagic D1 ($85). Next I'm going to dampen my office with sound absorption plates/wall-art!

So you don't make your own?

I'm about to buy some decent speakers to plant in a set of standing cardboard boxes.

Have I mentioned I'm cheap?

Cheaper then wood. (free) and with my 100ft roll of rubber, hard composite material I have, it sounds exactly the same.

I just have to tweak the inside for bass
