I'm really tempted to purchase a portable amp for use with my ATH-ES7s. I think they sound great but am wondering if an amp can provide even better sound. I've been perusing the forums for some time trying to find some clarity on whether it'd be worth it or not.
Amp wise, I've narrowed my choices down to the T3 or D2 Boa. I plan to use it primarily on-the-go (specifically in my pocket while at the gym). They both seem to have great reviews, portability and reasonable pricing.
My primary player is the Zune 80 though I also have an iPod Touch that I plan to use as well.
Would either of those amps improve the sound of the ES7s and the players I mentioned enough to justify a purchase?
If so, would there be a recommended amp/DAP combo? Or would any combo of the above suffice.
Any thoughts or opinions would definitely be appreciated. Thanks.
