Where is the EQ on the 100?
I also got a official reply from Pioneer but I’m not sure what they mean.
“Only the stock player are able to access the ESS DAC and AMP
Third party gives the digital signal, they don't need a DAC”
Where is the EQ on the 100?
EQ will be dependent on the app used, whether it's provided or not by that particular app. There are the 'main' audio settings for Gain, Filters, etc. accessible in the Android Settings within the Audio menu.
I use Tidal really, it has no EQ
ya... so the response you get means 3rd party app also use the ESS DAC and amp?Sounds like you got through to someone who has no idea what they're talking about - a digital signal is exactly what would require a DAC.
When it comes to Tidal, Jay-Z cares only about your money. The UX/UI leaves a lot to be desired. But I digress...

It's great news!
Sound like it's true then. Is it finally a conclusion? LOLYes I hope so! The source I conversed with sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and was a user of the devices himself (and is also waiting for Tidal to get their app sorted for MQA).
He also expressed that Pioneer/Onkyo are big believers in the future of MQA and fully behind it, if that helps anyone who’s doubting.
