Where are you guys ordering your cases in Japan? There's also an onkyo one which has a kick stand.

Thanks for sharing!
Do you mind telling us what you paid in the end?
In Europe there is not much available (yet) and my father in law has some 'quality issues' with the case he is making
I paid $54,99/€51,39 (eBay - ace_of_bicycle2004)

Weird, seems like there's 2 camps of people regarding the eq issue. Mine works perfectly ootb.

Yes, it's doing something. It reduces the volume when I increase the high freq sliders but it's def not boosting the freqs as I would expect. I know an earlier poster mentioned that it only worked for them when using either the internal storage or SD card, it wasn't clear which way round. I'm using SD card but I'll try internal storage at some point.

For now I'm using UAPP which seems to avoid the Android upsampling to 48khz and generally behaves as I would expect, including good EQ control. The volume levels are equivalent to the stock music app. I cant be bothered to do loads of blind testing but I'm not noticing any difference in audio quality between the stock music app and UAPP.

Just tried the play Store version of Power amp. (v588) .... and whoa it is significantly louder (even in balanced mode).

What could be causing such an Increase in volume? To my ears, is not processing sound through the ESS dac (as the midrange and bass have far less fullness vs the stock player).

But why is power amp increasing the amp output so much?

Be careful if you try this. The stock music player I run it at 105 on the dial in balanced.... with power amp, I could not go higher than 25-30 on the dial.

I just tried this, I'm on the test builds and have alpha build 703.

The volume levels are the same as the built in player with this version the sound quality is good too, I noticed a nice wide soundstage.

I do get an odd effect when increasing the volume, the level drops for a moment before increasing to the new level, lowering the volume is OK.

Does anybody can compare it as a DAC (only DAC section) to Chord Mojo? I use my Mojo only with the external amp.
P.S. I know that the amp section in Mojo can not bypassed...

Mojo is overrated.

  Mojo is overrated.

Y'know, after using my Mojo off & on over the last several months, with a variety of different devices, I have to agree with that short-and-to-the-point statement.

How does XDR100 compare to Mojo, driving say an IEM? What's major difference between the 100 and 300?

By "XDR100" I assume you mean the XDP-100R? Audio-wise the only noticeable difference with the Mojo engaged is more volume 'oomph', ergo more power. I use my XDP-100 with IEMs exclusively, swapping between FLC8S and Westone 4. In my opinion the Pioneer does not need the Mojo, or any amp for that matter, when listening with earphones. The only major difference I can surmise between the 100 & 300 is the inclusion of balanced audio output and dual DAC chips.

You are correct I was asking about the XDP, I apologize.

So if I'm not listening balanced, what is to be gained with the 300?

Having the option to do so in the future. Otherwise I'd say nothing. I'm happy with the 100 despite a few UI/app drawbacks but that'd be the same with the 300.

If I were to use this 3.5 to 2.5 balenced adapter will it produce the improved sound of a ballenced cable or would the sound be degraded by the transition from 3.5 to 2.5 ballenced?

This is the adapter I'm considering: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01AFEBR4I/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A364KLI3BZY8MZ&psc=1
