I have heard the Mojo in meets and shows, it is a fine sounding unit. Haven't compared it to the Pioneer, but it is a bit of apples and oranges, an external DAC vs a DAP. Even if it was slightly better sounding (and I haven't compared it to know if that is the case), the Pioneer is very good sounding, attaching and dragging around another box would be a pain and superfluous (for me, of course...)

yes i went on a spree and bought the mojo to use it with my phone then the pioneer DAP, while the mojo gives superior SQ compared to the DAP it just seems silly to carry both devices :) so now my mojo is just sitting in a box but i have to admit, i miss the punch it brings to teh music

I got the pioneer xdp100r, it's great as far as it can stream Tidal. Sound is sub par. Mojo is far better, but I love that it can stream Tidal Thats a big deal.

I'm hoping the 300r is far better sound than the 100r. It doesn't have to match mojo. But I'm hoping as good as dx200 or ak70?

I find no difference in sound quality b/w standalone 100R & added Mojo. Mojo only adds extra "oomph" in the audio volume and unneeded encumbrance. Different story once Poly arrives.

I feel mojo makes 100r sound like and old smartphone from 2008

you mean when you add it to the 100r or it makes it feel old because of how good the mojo is?i'm confused

I auditioned the XDP 100R at the previous Bristol show with a view to buying. The sound quality didn’t impress me enough to buy one, whereas 12 months later, the 300 did.

Haven't heard the 100r, but I'm enjoying the 300r. Right now using it with the UE900, Effect Audio Eros II, and I'm just loving the set up.

It is hard to remove, haven't really felt the need to do it, though

Speaking of the volume wheel, I really like having one. I find that it takes lots of turning to change the volume, though, making a big change is often easier on the screen. Is that other's experience?

I like the granular control, hate my Pono volume, which is too quiet, then a step up is too loud. But, having to spin the wheel 2-3 times around to get a perceptible change in volume is taking it a bit far, imo...
