Forgot I had a pair of HE400S (lol). Tried those out--balanced is definitely adequate with power to drive them. I then switched back to my W5000 because I can't get enough of female vocals on them. :)

Anyone know at what resistance is the power output indicated in the specs sheet? (75w+75w unbalanced & 150w+150w balanced)

Their data sheet shows the rated power level is the same for all loads, so who knows....

My 300R just arrived from Amazon. So far so good, but I can't get the micro sd card to mount. The player doesn't recognize anything on the card. When I put the card back in my AK100II, it comes up fine. The card is a Sandisk 128gb and formatted with fat32. Any ideas?

SDXC specs call for exFAT, not FAT32.  No idea if that's your problem though.

I figured it out. It was all my fault. The card was actually formatted in NTFS, not FAT32. I formatted in FAT32 and it worked fine. First impressions are very good. Definitely has more power than the AK100II. Drives my SE846's with authority unbalanced. Should really dominate them balanced. One thing I don't quite understand is all of the complaints about the equalizer being useless and non-functional. The equalizer on my unit works flawlessly. I have very precise control over all the bands +/- 10dB. I am actually shocked at how good it works. Not very fat-finger friendly though.

Hello Everyone. New to forum. First of all thanks to OP for sharing the Amazon deal. I got mine from Amazm.co.jp last week via dhl. First ever high end player. Been playing win it using Shure 440 and Beyer DT 880 600ohm. It is able to drive the DT to a reasonably loud volume using high gain setting, which was a nice surprise. The sound quality is phenomenal. Good Instrument separation and nice sound stage very noticable . Rediscovering my music collection. Equalizer is not bad once you figure out. Don't have any balanced headphones yet. Will be looking to buy a pair of HD600 with balanced cables soon. Will post more soon. Cheers.

Agree with you. Played a bit with the EQ last night and I can definitely hear a difference. Pull the first couple of sliders down and the bass is gone, so I quickly put them back up

The battery in stand alone mode is amazing. I had 4% left. I activated stand alone mode and after 30 mins. YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT. 3% left

Hmm, what does Standalone mode actually do? Disable all of the networking and connection functionality? Anything else?

Yes and screen as well. Will only come back to 'normal' mode after pushing the power button.

It should minimize electric interference for an even better sound quality

and extend battery life as well, but you will miss out on the eye candy like the cover view and the spectrum analyzer.

Coming from the Benjie S5 all I can is say is WOW. Really love how polished the android UI/UX is. Are you guys sticking to the default player?

Need to get a tempered glass protector for this bad boy.
