Maybe better to have gone straight on to enjoy the 1Z. I had the ZX300, then 1A before attaining the 1Z - I did enjoy the journey and appreciated each step up.
It is quite small, but I actually appreciate that now, being a bit higher it feels quite nice in the hand to use the touch screen.

From your post I thought you had a WM1Z - come join the team.
The M2 are definitely a lot bigger, I got to hold one in my hand recently, even if they topped the DMP-Z1 for sound the size is a no-go for these little hands.
Swapped out the AD8620 Opamp to a Muses8832 inside the AM3E amp module, since I still use the FiiO Q5 and Q5s Dac/Amps. I shall call this module the AM3F.
Last year I bought a set used. I was very underwhelmed. I just couldn't figure out why they were so popular. So I resold them after a few weeks of trying to like them. But I guess maybe I didn't have the right collection of tips at the time. Now I tried the TRN T-tips and they seem to have done something different. They sound more engaging. So it seems they'll be staying this time lol

lol...not that rich yet. But I will join the team soon my friend. I had the 1Z signature (Thru Mr. Walkman mods) on my old 1A and I crave it. The sound was so good!
Coming up on 10 years, still brings a smile, when listening to this. Other than the busted usb input on the Mojo, can't believe how well the battery has held up on both AK100 and Mojo.

Same with IE 900, they're so tip/fit dependent. with some tips they sound so lean and have a splashy treble that rings.
With IE800, you were always sure there was a good fit, when pressure equalizes on both side after inserting them.
