Seems my ASG Micro driver Rockets have finally met their match at least for my ears in the IMR Dawns! Unbelievably small in stature but incredible in SQ across the spectrum, paint me As well Bob has some super tips and a nice new IMR case with them, need about half dozen more of thosee for my other IMR's

Outside of non-removable cable I think they are a stone cold bargain because if anyone remembers the Rockets were a $400+ iem when they first released but I lucked into a closeout sale on them with Lend Me about the time Fender took over.

Dawn's have sounded great with everything I've thrown at them file wise and equipment

Coming up on 10 years, still brings a smile, when listening to this. Other than the busted usb input on the Mojo, can't believe how well the battery has held up on both AK100 and Mojo.

this was a good era (about 10 years ago) where lots of audio manufacturers were making bespoke accessories for DAP with short optical and digi coax connections to dacs like the Mojo and others. Folks like Moon Audio and Alo Audio were some of those I remember among the many.

At the default settings, no I would not be able to distinguish them in a blind test.
But, when you apply the DSP (equalization) the Mojo 2 becomes a completely different animal. Mine came with -7 db on the 20Hz and +7 on the 20 kHz (from the previous owner) and IE900 was like a detail monster, with no sub-bass rumble and ringing treble in certain tracks. Of course, I didn't know about these and was still getting used to the new features.

Yep, good times. $1000 could get you Summit-Fi gear.

Been testing the Kann Alpha a few days and I'm very happy with it. It's so liberating to have only my music and not have to worry about android draining the battery. Not needing to leave the DAP on Airplane mode for worrying about the connections impacting the battery.



By the way... this combo, with this song pictured... the bass is surreal.

I found that I am reaching for the lightweight slimline ZX300 far more than the hefty WM1Z and clocking up more listening time.

@AlexxxAA85 I had purchased the A306 mainly for the size and convenience of USB-C, but figured I could open up some possibilities with some streaming services like Bandcamp, but much prefer the straight up simplicity of the Sony OS and local files.
