I see a lot of cases that combine the player and the amp, I just think they look bulky, I'd go with a plain look instead, more hi-fi!

I got a Westone Monitor Vault recently.  Its the first hard case for IEMs that I've liked.  I find the rest that I've seen either too large or too small but this one is Goldilocks.  Its not quite perfect though.  The cable on my PFE232 is pretty unruly.  If its not held in place it splays out all over the place.  I decided to fix this issue by adding some elastic straps too hold everything in place.

It holds my IEMs plus some silica gel desiccant just fine.  It makes more room and it's easy to close without having to worry about closing it on the cable.

What are the dimensions of the vault? Is it smaller than the usual UE case?

I linked this when I started writing that post but it somehow got eaten by my browser halfway through and I seem to have forgotten to add it back in when I retyped it.

It was worth a try...but with Rockbox installed it still took just as long to go through and get all my settings dialed in as it did with the OF. So it will remain an occasional use shuffle-only player for now.

Why oh why does the DAP market only get more and more depressing as time continues on...

Bummer. That's nice looking but it's even bigger than the UE case that came with my triple-Fis.
Anyone else use a nice small case to store their IEMs?
I'm hoping to find something as small as possible. So far the UE case is it but I'm not a fan of it's size or make-up.

I'm looking for similar things, except custom IEM cases. I think that westone case might be nice to have

Hey IceClass,

With reference to cases, Otterbox or Pelican must have something suitable:

http://www.otterbox.com/waterproof-cases/waterproof-cases,default,sc.html

http://www.pelican.com/case_category.php?CaseSize=Small%&New=%

Pelican 1010 Micro looks interesting, think I'm going to get one myself:

http://www.amazon.com/Pelican-1010-Black-Micro-Case-Carabiner/dp/B000FQEEFG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332405583&sr=1-1

Cheers

Mark
