Haha yeah.. The rubber bands are a temporary thing until I get myself one of those wristbands or some velcro. I am a little worried that the velcro will mess with the writing on the predator though, and I don't want to lose resale value.

The Fuze V2 certainly hisses a bit more than the Clip and maybe because of that, has a slightly deader midrange. I use IEMS only with it.

Hmm, I don't notice a lot of hiss (if any at all) using IEMs straight out of my Fuze.

Maybe your earphones aren't sensitive enough :p I do recall some hiss out of the Fuze v1 when I had it but it wasn't much and only at volumes I would not listen at. You do have to realize that shigzeo is the hiss expert here at head-fi as well and his ears are more sensitive to hiss than most.

Should not be an issue. I use velcro on my shadow right over the lettering and have taken it off a couple of times with no adverse impact.

Well, won't be going to the Fuze then.

It's dead silent from the Clip+ -> TF10s.  But as soon as I tried adding the Fiio E5, all of a sudden I get hiss.  Which sucks, they are the perfect size match.

Sadly no.  I even tried the T4 which wasn't much better in regards to hiss.

I've come to the realization that hiss can only be removed in high quality amps, hence my recent decision to purchase the Arrow 12HE.
