I thought you couldn't Rockbox the v.2 Fuze?

You can. It's not "officially" stable yet, but people have been using it for months. The last remaining hurdle seems to be the USB support(which would allow you to not have to ever see the Sansa firmware and it's database refresh). Thankfully, my V1 has it.

I just ran the Rockbox utility installer and used the latest firmware from Sansa and it worked perfectly! Yes it's annoying to have to restart into the OF to connect the fuze to my PC but that's only a small problem!
Quote: from Rockbox Wiki
* SansaAMS v1: To allow booting into Rockbox upon USB connection while power is off, you must create a new patched firmware upgrade file using mkamsboot v1.4 and a v2.0 bootloader file. Links to mkamsboot and the bootloader files can be found in the manual installation section below.
** SansaAMS v2: Currently disabled because it fails randomly. Until its ready, use the OF's USB by booting the OF before connecting the USB cable.

/lib/ckeditor/images/spacer.gif?t=A39E Specific problems

  1. Clipv1/c200v2/m200v4: Casual playback crashes. See FS#10605
  2. Clipv1/c200v2/m200v4/e200v2/Fuzev1: Battery life is much shorter than when using the OF. See SansaRuntime
  3. Clip+/Clipv2/Fuzev2: When using the wake-up alarm, the player sometimes fails to power off. Workaround: force a shutdown and try again. FS#11453.
  4. Clipv2: There is some very annoying noise which can be heard especially at low volume.
  5. Fuzev2/Clip+: Some models won't patch with RButil 1.2.7. Use mkamsboot.

Cool. I'm glad you got it to work well. I'm not sure if I need the extra features Rockbox has to offer on my Fuze though..
