I've been checking those out as alternative to IEM's. Let me know how they work out.

Well, it took some time to get a good fit, but I'm really enjoying them. I think they sound pretty good, but maybe for some people not enough bass.
I don't know if it's an alternative to IEM's, because they don't isolate as well and they leak some (but not much) sound also.
But if you don't need that, I think they're good alternatives.

I can't seem to find a comfortable set of IEM's. I am waiting on my IE8's to arrive. I looked around for an audiologist to make molds so I could get a set of UE10 Pro's, but no luck there either. So I am looking at the Audio Technica's as an alternative.

See my goal is to be the best possible sound with the smallest size.

My rig must fit in my pocket or the side of my purse.

Maybe you can say I have a deep purse? Really I don't - just spend money wisely and wait for upgrades.

Honestly, I have more money tied in the portable rig than I do the home one by far.

$1627 in the Portable Rig.

$857 in the Dynamic Rig.

soon to be $1357 in the Dynamic Rig.

ok, so what's the $500.00 upgrade?

My "portable" rig.
In the sense that its all battery operated and hence can be brought with me in a backpack (large one).

That rig belongs in any thread it wants to be in. It is thing of beauty which as Oscar Wilde said. "Is a joy forever."
