Did all you guys getting your replacements shipped report yours quite a while back? I haven't heard anything yet so maybe I just waited too long? For a while the only thing wrong with mine was the left crack which is really a non issue so I didnt want to bother until the revision came. Then I got the wire exposure near the right and it was close to the time the revision was meant to be in stock so I finally contacted them. Now the left wire is doing the same and Im worried I'll be stuck with my back ups longer than I would like, they are Scullcandy Titans.

Thanks Schneller. You are indeed correct. V1 is actually revision 1. So this is the NEW version. I have attached a pic.

I've compared the new and old. While visually similar, the feel and strength of the new cable is readily apparent.

Hope this helps.

Bill

Awesome! Makes sense too

Guess I'm one of the first with the revisions, cool.

I'll take some pictures now and post them up in a bit. If there are any specific angles or parts you want to see, just let me know.

edit: shipped this afternoon! Can't wait.

I ordered mine directly from their site

Do you have the mic version or not? If not, the Y splitter definitely looks different.

How does the cable feel by comparison?

Any differences in sound?

I do not have the mic version.

Unfortunately I cannot make any comparisons as these are my first pfe's.

The cable is thick and feels very durable.

I owned a pair of PFEs for a short time (just long enough to assess their sound) and was quite pleased with them. I had no cracking issue (I got mine in June of this last year). When I first got them, my only complaint was that they didn't have as much bass response as I'd have liked. Then, somebody pointed out that I could switch filters, which I did, and the bass was quite nice. There's definitely a tradeoff in either going for the HF or LF version of the sound signature. These are single-driver earphones, which will not have the SPL of their multi-driver rivals, but they are nicely balanced and the solution is simply to "crank 'em up." I'd rather have a balanced sound signature than a loud pair that sucked. You won't get top sizzle and maximum bass at the same time, which is the downside of a single-driver setup, but as single-driver designs are concerned, I have nothing but praised for the PFE. I also liked the fit. This is a small-shelled IEM, almost as diminutive as the Etymotics. I didn't think the tiny eartips would form a seal but, to my delight, they did all that and more. Because they fit deep into the ear canal (which narrows as it goes), they not only fit, but the seal was great.

Sleeping on the side is not a comfortable experience. It really gets pushed hard into your ear, I wouldn't recommend it.

Sleeping on your back works fine though, I've slept with mine on many times.

Worked well for me, they lay flat inside my ear. It probably depends on which tips and varies from person to person I'm guessing.

So am I correct in saying that if you are getting a v1 replacement pair there is no need to return your original pair?

Happy Thanksgiving!

It also looks(to my eye) that the cable is kind of rubbery.
I say this because of the matte, non gloss non shine.

The cable is definitely rubbery, feels strong and durable.

Is it stiff or easily bendable? Does it have alot of memory?(Cable kind of stay in the way they were stored, and don't hang straight and loose)
