I know you don't want any EQing but still, they can sound much smoother if you tame the upper mids. The frequency response might help.
I tried the Omega 2 today and on my way back home i found that the PFEs were still pretty smooth with my settings.
Black filters help but they are kind of messy and the upper mids still sound bright. I think it's better to keep the grey filters which are very easy to EQ around 3 Khz.
