i am currently thinking about buying a fiio e11 with the fiio L9 line out cable
 
it costs about 90$ altogether but is it worth it with my ipod nano 5th gen?

I cant say ive used the fiio e 11, but i reckon you would be better off saving up for a decent DAC/amp

I just bought an E11/L9 LOD combo to pair with my iPod Nano 3rd gen with AKG K518LE's and Audeo PFE 012's, and I can say 100% that both sets benefit greatly from the amp, in volume, bass boost, and SQ. Best $ i've spent so far!
 
You'll have to play around with it and figure out the best settings for your Sennheisers though (but it's a lot of fun )

The E11 is a real best buy.  Its sound quality reflects a higher price tag, this is rare.
