I bought Crysis 1 for $1 by posing as an Australaian!!! heck yeah!

For whatever reason, Crysis 1 is just brutal on my card. At 1440x900 I can't even max it out at a playable framerate. Last time I tried it I got like 24FPS. It really doesn't look all that great, to be running as poorly as it does.

I'm not maxing it but I am on very high with good framerate.

Get the RealLoaded mod pack with the HD textures. It looks very very good with REalLoaded.

I ended up just uninstalling it because I was so annoyed it didn't run maxed out. My friend's 6850 could max it out at 1080p with 4xAA, but my card couldn't even do 1440x900. Freaking Crytek.

Can it run Crysis :)

Maybe driver problem. Most likely driver issue.

I don't think it's a driver issue, since a lot of benchmarks echo these results. This Anandtech benchmark comparison tool is pretty neat, and might explain why the 6850 does better on Crysis. It looks like the 6850 does certain calculation types (much) better than even my card, so maybe Crysis relies on those types or something.

From the benchmarks I've seen, it doesn't look to be a huge improvement in performance. This one shows I'd get about 25FPS:

You should be getting at least 30-35 fps with it at 1440.

Without AA? Forget that, there's no going back!

Crysis was mediocre as hell, so I'm not eager to play Warhead.
