I am skeptical that the improvement from the cable is worth the price. I don't trust myself either. IF I listen to it, I'll probably want it. So, I am going to live in denial. The thing is, it's not an either or situation, it's an 'and'.

FOMO will be huge if I don’t get the Orpheus. Such is life of a Head-Fier…The thing is, it's not an either or situation, it's an 'and'.
Dang, that is nice.I already did it. Spent tons on my 2 Channel and full size cans… Not sure if they’re better than the Bird though.

Whoa nice! The bird is a small change
If you and @aaf evo end up with severe withdrawal seizure this weekend, your ER is right here, just 3 hours away. I will gladly take orphy for payment so you can enjoy a dose of bird

I look at it two ways, I can sell the Orpheus and fund whatever TOTL IEM I want, in that context it is not worth the price. On the flip side, both IEMs I have tried it on (Traillii and 12t) both end up sounding much more natural and organic to me which is what I love. When I view it that way, it is worth every penny. :/

Stop it, you will deplete Andrew’s stock of Orpheus very soon while I am still saving for it.I look at it two ways, I can sell the Orpheus and fund whatever TOTL IEM I want, in that context it is not worth the price. Simple Saturday morning pleasure. Got to love what the LP6 brings to the table.
All this talk about the Orpheus has me wondering - what is the difference between the shielded and non-shielded version?

No idea. I just figured if I’m spending $4k on a cable I’m going to get the “best” one

^ what he said.
it’s easier to be crazy when you’re not alone.
the “shielded” version has the thicker braiding around the wire at the bottom.

I’m actually considering the non-shielded version for another IEM. I think the weight of the shielded version is a bit of a PITA to be honest. It’s okay for Traillii because I don’t move around much when I listen to them, but on other IEM’s that I use more portably, it’s almost unusable. But the sound is amazing lol.
Wait until you use this cable 19AWG 4WIt shields your wallet from ever recovering
