Compare to AK 240 as DAP :
Balance version SQ is about The same level with Note

Note :
If you hear longer Time , than you Will hear AK 240 High has better rendering

Onkyo has better In Bass region , has better bass impact

Use their Line out : pair With Mass KoBo 404 full balance Amp

AK 240 is The Winner , has better focus and clarity and Fuller sound .like solid state Amp.

Onkyo sound is to The sweet and analog sound like Tube amp or Hybrid Amp

Don't think so. By my opinion 300ohms it is limit for X1. Except you like listening on low volumes

Ok..means the x1 need an amp to function well with the a 300 ohm earbud..

Oya..for comparision, anyone can suggest / give some impressions for dp-x1 vs ak240?

Because i am planning to buy the ak240..

I'll be watching the prices of these very closely. Currently I have a 128 and a 200. Most likely I'll just get a single 256 (I don't have a dual card dap yet) and move the 128 to my phone or something.
 
I like that Sandisk is taking this approach, I don't need speed for my use, I need capacity, reliability and a lower price.

What are the advantages of "rooting" the android OS OF the DP-X1? Apologies for my ignorance, I typically use iOS. Thanks.

Basically it allows you to backup your data usimg twrp. It also allows you to use viper4android which has a godly amount of settings to tweak the sound if youre into that kind of thing.

Thanks, I don't think rooting will be for me. I will just stick to stock android, I don't even mess with EQ. I actually have DSP disabled on my device, which seems to help improve battery.

Check the folder where all of your music is stored. If it isnt there then check the application folder.

Checked both, but no luck so far! Wondering if it is in a hidden folder or something
