I haven't been able to find much on this thread about DP X1 battery life.

The Fiio X7 has 3500 maH battery and was returning around 8 hours when I had one.

The DP X1 has 1630 maH.

Not a lot compared to X7.

Anyone done careful measurement?

From my personal tests, the DP-X1 can last about 15-16 hrs of music playback.
The stated spec is 16hrs for playback of 24/96 flac files.

These figures are good considering that the battery is 1/2 capacity of that in the X7.

Wonder how the DP X1 does when streaming Spotify or Tidal?

Streaming will typically get me 6 / 6.5 hours, not sure you get more from the X7 from what I remember when I had it, and yes pretty good considering the 1600mA battery vs 3500mA but ESS9018K2M is optimized for mobile :)

And isn't a selling point of Android 5 better battery use?

Is there any information on the new Onkyo headphones that were announced around the time the DP-X1 was? I'm actually quite curious about them, and I do remember way back in the thread some information coming out about them with pricing, but I can't find anything since. Any news or links (updated info such as scheduled release dates would be ideal) would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes that also comes into play, but I believe to a lesser extent, the most noticeable improvement is standby time for me

Just got off the phone with Onkyo in the US and as of yet they haven't been alerted to the new headphones arriving so we'll see if March happens as a release month.

They are charging way too much. I guess they figure early release will enable them to get extra profit. The MSRP for the E900M is $299US and they have it at $459. Good luck to them. Thanks for the link anyway mate.

It's the H900M that's $299US - the E is supposed to be $449.

Nope, when I click the link the user provided me to the UK based web store, they are asking 319 pounds. when I select the US version of the site the US pricing for the IEM is $459US. Don't forget, resellers can sell it for as much as they like, the MSRP is just that, a suggested price.
