Okay, so one of the things I got done here in my first day in Tokyo was to collect my order of DP-X1s...

If anyone is interested I can check in within a few days for a Balanced/SE/SE ACG comparison with the same cable and IEM (I have adaptors from 3.5mm balanced to both 3.5mm SE and 2.5 balanced as seen in the photo).

I am interested !

Also, please let me know about the adaptor, I thought it is not possible to make Balanced out of SE wiring, and that you can only use an adapter to change Balanced wiring to SE wiring. Or can one indeed use any headphone and use it in balanced mode with such an adapter?

Also, do you know if the DP-X1 uses both DAC's for SE use, or only one for SE use and two for Balanced connections?

Last question: Do you have any comparison to other devices, e.g. AK100 / AK120 / AK JR?

Thanks!!!

We could have another source aside from japan if the onkyo would recieve enough votes 200 i beleive on massdrop -https://www.massdrop.com/vote/Portable-Hi-Res-Players

Just voted for the Onkyo. Despite the software issues: want the dual dacs, balanced out, and MQA.

Think the Questyle would have more votes if it was for the QP1R instead of the non-R version.

ZX2 is also tempting.
