The reason that Onkyo adopts two DAC and AMP is because the dual output (Balanced and Unbalanced) while Pioneer got one only? Is my understanding correct?

Yes and ACG mode for single ended, I really need to utilize my balanced output sooner or later or I'll be wasting its potential.

@Orky261 Is there an option to show full color album artwork on while playing screen?

Me neither. J-Pop and Anisong is my favourite music genre. For these genre, I think album artwork better show in more colorful manner. Just my opinion.

I should mention that I listen to J-Rock and Pop-Rock as well. Some band like nano.RIPE, Fhana, Incubus, RHCP, etc. need a good amount of bass. Of course I didn't ordered DP-X1 just for J-pop and Anisong.

Wow so you can use a third party player for folder browsing but then those handy transport buttons on the side are useless?

Double fail. Rethinking my plans to purchase this

There are some app like Neutron which just takes over the function even if you use the stock app, but other app such as Onkyo's own playstore app and power amp doesn't do that. The software is still clunky at this stage but the sound quality more than makes up for it.

Seriously guys, don't worry about the Bass, it has healthy amount of it.

Actually you can use a third party app specifically for folder browsing which can open music files automatically into the onkyo music app for playback, then with a press of the back button you will be back in the folder browser app where you left off before, or you could stay in the onkyo music app and browse the songs in the same album etc. Android ftw, there is an app for everything, and the onkyo's cpu/ram specs ensure it will operate smoothly.

Anisong isn't a genre, despite the wide misuse, misapplication and misunderstanding of the term.

One thing I notice while hearing this DAP is that songs with guitars really come to life, the riffs really feels clean sounding.

Sorry. I'm not professional in English term or music genre :)
