If you tell me you have a sn that has already been recorded I must assume(i know, i know) it's been sold.
 
I sent ripster24007 a pm asking him to check his hf-2 sn again.

Hmm, maybe I misread the handwritten #1080; the 8 could be a 5, although it's a really strange 5 then: I read it as an 8. Don't know. Will post some pictures later, have little time.

Maybe the mistake is on the box. What is the serial number on the actual headphone?

it's odd that the serial number is in the right-hand corner (above the grado message) instead of the left, which is where i usually see it.

You have to take a picture of the headphone cup with the SN and even then, it is always possible that Grado has made a boo boo in the numbering.  I have heard of the box and the phone SNs being off, it's also possible for a double serialization....think outside the box when it comes to Grado.  Grado's offer a unique experience in more ways than one, I guess...hehe.

That photo shows the same location that mine is located.

Agree that a check of the headphones themselves might give the answer...
