Anyone try VE Monk+ with the Walnut?
Also, can you skip folders or just go to the next song? There is only so much you can do with buttons!

Funny thing that just came back from a walk with those ( single foam and a bit of silicone swimmer earplugs stuck to the edges to secure them in ) .
Excellent driver control.
You'd be very happy.
Was a bit trippy in spots had to look around a couple times thought someone was around me.
 
This is with the above opamp. I'll get to them with the spare stock unit and PM you if I hear anything as far as noise.
 
* Monk + has the smoky shells right with the words MONK on it? I have earlier model also so lost track ( yes waaay too much stuff here )
 
**Tried a set of dual BA 103db/15 ohm nothing detected. Think that is the lowest ohm I own now unfortunately, so definitely trust/listen to T.R.A.N.C.E. for anything lower!

That's a nice looking player! Kinda jokes how they call this a hifi player but then show a pair of Beats connected to it.

Well if it is socketed you dont need any wrestling gear. If the opamp is soldered in - which it is not on the Walnut - you can put a socket where it was, but then soldering is required. I get my opamps from mouser or digikey if i am worried about fakes. For cheaper opamps that dont have as high a chance of being faked i might use ebay if its just one or two. The bursons i got came directly from burson though. Cant wait for those to show up. No tweezers needed either but if you are impatient some pliers could be helpful. Happy thanksgiving!

I admire your supplier choice but having been in the business of components, even the bigs get scammed occasionally.

I saw the xDuoo X2 on WISH for $33.55 Canadian and thought What, can it be real? Damned if it isn't. Best price I've seen on this before or since. And it arrived quickly too. For the money it's great and very simple to use. One day I'll remove the film.

I don't recommend the Princess Dress store for buying a Walnut V2. They don't answer any messages and my tracking is still invalid 2 weeks later. What's worse is i guess because of the holiday season the time until the order closes isn't for another 2 months


Edit: my walnut bought later from the store recommended by another poster here shipped within 24 hours and is already on a plane. Cklewis audio store.

I am so disappointed. I really wanted Princess Dress Store to be a great source. Next thing you know Wenzhou Fish and Hat Emporium will let us down too.

In retrospect I'm not super suprised. but they had good ratings and sold a lot of electronics parts.

I love finding these oddly named places but you just never know how they will perform. I've bought stuff at 11/11 and Black Friday sales from some of the bigger guys and waited until January to get anything. I won't do that again.
